After only two matches on day one, day two of the IWRF World Championship features all 12 teams across seven matches.

Germany and Japan open the proceedings when they meet at 10am local time. No.4 ranked Japan will start as favourites but will not have it easy against an experienced German side.

The USA will start their tournament defence when they take on France, a game they we be expected to win convincingly.

Following that Finland will make their first appearance at the tournament when they play Belgium in a game that both teams will believe they can win.

The host nation will then be back in action when they take on world No.3 Canada in a must win clash for their semifinal hopes.

Australia will then begin their campaign for a first World Championship in a very enticing clash with Great Britain at 3pm.

Sweden have to wait until 4:15pm for the first match and won’t have it easy against the much more fancied Japanese lineup.

New Zealand and the USA wrap up the days play when they clash at 5:30pm. After a strong performance against France, the Wheelblacks have nothing to lose against the No.1 team in wheelchair rugby.

By the end of today’s play most teams will have played twice and the group standings will begin to take shape.

All eyes will again be on the Danish team and whether they can cause an upset over Canada for the first time in their history.

The USA will also receive plenty of attention to see if they perform as well as everyone expects them to.

Don’t forget that all seven matches will be live streamed on the World Championship website.
